Now run by members of the sixth generation of the family (mainly Maria), the small workshop is located near Palazzo Pitti in the heart of Florence's artisanal paradise, Oltrarno. Giannini bookbinders used gold-leafed parchment and colored leather hardcovers, inspired by 14th-century models. An icon of an era, Giannini defined the "Florentine style" in the history of bookbinding. Designed by Florentine bookbinder Giannini, this classic notebook comes in soft brown leather with an ancient vegetable-tanned finish.
